WELCOME to Notes on a Thread!
This project was born out of the combined passions of four artists, uniting the mediums of fashion, music, hairstyling, makeup, and photography to create art that encourages environmental responsibility through secondhand fashion. Each collection of photographs, including the styling, hair, and makeup, is inspired by a piece of Western Classical Music. Every photograph in this project uses thrifted clothing to create elevated looks.
As creators, we hope to change the perception of secondhand fashion in order to encourage more people to shop in an environmentally friendly way. The Collections page enables you to listen to the musical work as you browse through the photographs inspired by that work.
